Shadi Ramey is an accomplished hemp innovator and thought-leader, fiercely combining her talents as a Chef, product developer and citizen of the world to raise awareness about the power of hemp. Shadi’s MA in Cultural Anthropology and her experience as a plant-based chef of nearly two decades paved the way for cultivating a unique, global and culinary interest in hemp. Her dynamic approach to hemp food and nutrition has earned her distinction in cannabis culture and the culinary industry. She began experimenting with hemp in food in 2014 and shortly thereafter developed her own line of organic, non-GMO, hemp-based body care products, called Satya Kama Cream™. The cream was featured at NoCo Hemp Expo 4 in 2017, during which time the cream generated media attention, being published in Westword and on the local news for its unique accolades: Satya Kama is one of the only hemp companies in the world to be working with B Corp, a rigorous qualification for businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. Shadi believes in using business as a force for good, and the mission of Satya Kama is to “...spread smiles, empower others and do the right thing when no one is looking.”

Since 2015 Shadi has been involved with several hemp product development projects, and has grown her own hemp, recently completing her fourth year of growing. She is currently working on a hemp cookbook. She is the mother of 3 beautiful children who have grown up around hemp.
